Aostirmotor, a company of Fujiang Co., burst onto the electric bike scene in 2018. While they may have flown slightly under the radar, their impact on the market with an unbeatable quality-to-cost ratio has been undeniable. They continue to innovate with newer models, and their commitment to quality remains strong.
I can personally vouch for their durability. I’ve been riding my Aostirmotor for nearly three years, and it’s still going strong – I haven’t even had to change a tire yet (though it’s definitely time!). I did have to replace the controller once, but that was entirely my fault from pushing the bike beyond its normal limits in ways most riders won’t.
Through my adventures on my Aostirmotor, especially when tackling more challenging terrain like I do on my mountain bike, I noticed a small area where the bike could be improved – splash protection. In typical riding conditions, this might not be a major concern. However, for riders like me who enjoy getting off the beaten path, the lack of adequate splash guards could lead to getting quite messy and potentially expose bike components to more water and debris.

It’s a fantastic bike, and I’ve been enjoying finding ways to enhance its functionality for my specific needs. One such enhancement is this custom-designed and 3D printed splash guard, specifically engineered to fit the Aostirmotor S07-B and S07 Max models.
The 2 Photos above show why this Splash Guard comes in handy. Mind you the “Test Ride” was only around a couple blocks and through my yard on a warmer winter day. In less than 5 minutes my splash guard has proven it’s worth. The photo on the right side has outlined areas. These areas are where the bike has “gaps” that can either get wet or get dirt and grime in them. The crank or peddle sensor which works via magnetic pull. Determines if or when your peddle assist kicks in. If you manage to get enough dirt in there, the magnets will not make connection and your peddle assist will not work properly. The other “hole” is represented by the rectangle on the right hand photo. This “hole” is where the controller wires go into the frame of the bike. Now when I bought this bike Aostirmotor was pushing it to be winter ridable and made me an offer for some winter videos and pics. I find the frame hole or wire hole to be the bigger issue in wet snow, sleet, and even rain. Although the wires are covered moisture is a beast on electric anything. In my case, I buried the bike past that hole in snow and mud, more than once.
With all that said. The Aostirmotor S07-B Splash Guard by Haven Made, does NOT Guarantee your bike or it’s controller will not fail. Adding our splash guard simply adds a layer of water & dirt resistance to the bike.
Installation
Installation of the splash guard is easy peazy. Clip the backside “hook” around the crossmember of the rear forks and snap the front clips onto the controller. No hardware is necessary, although we did design it with a hole to match the hole in the cross-member so if one felt like extra grip is necessary, a Nut & Bolt or a push clip could be used to hold it in place “permanently”.
Quality & Design
After many “fails”, I have decided this design works. The material we’ve chosen to use is ST-TPU from Sting3D. Although STTPU is not showcased on their public website. You can get your hands on it through alibaba, or simply send a request from their public site & ask about their STTPU. Sting is a full fledge manufacturer of filament, that’s what they do, they don’t do filament as a “side hustle” as many companies do. Making filament is not all that difficult. Making good quality, well wound filament. That’s better left to the professionals. My only compliant or “fault” with Sting is the same one i have with every filament company. If you let them, they will send you filament on a cardboard spool. Personally, I don’t like the carboard spools, I don’t like rewinding filament, and those cardboard spool edge covers are a pain in the arse too. So if you order, let them know you want plastic spools, or be even safer and buy “bulk” you wind it yourself.
